This year in March, we stayed at Tatum Park at Ohau, we went
up to the Kohitere Forest Trig , Nga Manu Bird Sanctuary,
Waikanae Beach, the Horowhenua Aquatic Centre, as well as lots of other fun activities at Tatum
Park. Best of all it was free to our families. Because we stayed in tents, had wonderful parents prepare our delicious meals, and received generous donations and grants so that every child could attend and have a wonderful learning experience.

Mt HoldsworthIn week 3, term 1, 2017, our whole
school went to Masterton and stayed at Mt Holdsworth Lodge for a wonderful 3
day camp. We had mixed accommodation of tents and the well-equipped Mt
Holdsworth Lodge.
The first day was spent mainly at
Pukaha Mt Bruce, where we learnt a lot about birds and New Zealand's wild
life. Later in the afternoon we enjoyed a short tramp around the loop track.
The second day was full on, with a
steep tramp up to the Rocky Lookout wiping 1/2 hour off the average time to get
there. After lunch we ventured into Masterton where we had a wonderful
time on the Paddle Boats at Queen Elizabeth Park. As if that was not enough there
was a fun time had at the Genesis Pool in Masterton.
The next day was packing up and yet
another swim before heading home. The weather was kind as it only began to
rain late in the evening on the second day and the morning that we were
leaving. This didn’t matter as we were going swimming anyway.
The food was wonderful thanks to our
wonderful parent helpers, the company was great and the time was enjoyable, and
with no cost at all to our families!
Totara Park Camp 2016
In April 2016 whole our school had the wonderful opportunity to camp in tents in Totara reserve. Although the nights were cold we had a lovely time doing several tramps, learning about water quality and even visited a glow worm cave.
